Update on YDC court cases
To Our Clients—
We have some promising developments to share with you on the YDC litigation front. As you know, all trials have been paused while David Meehan’s appeal works its way through the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
We recently met with Judge Shulman for a status conference on this matter, and he said he believes we should have an order from the court on that appeal in spring next year. With that, he would like to resume trials in the second half of 2026, with one trial likely in summer 2026 and another in fall 2026. The court will tell us shortly when they have trial slots available. This is a small step forward to getting the litigation back on track. Resuming trials will allow us to keep pressure on the state and work to the benefit of all our clients, no matter what track you are on or what court your case is pending in.
We are still awaiting a decision from Judge St. Hilaire on our class action lawsuit to stop the state from implementing changes to the Settlement Fund. We will let you know as soon as we hear.
As always, be sure to check Case Status regularly for updates. You can also call the main Nixon Peabody phone number (603-628-4060) and ask to be connected to the YDC Client Update line to listen to a recorded update.
